Beau Hossler, C. This makes sense as the courses often share similar attributes with tree-lined fairways, narrow sight lines from the tee and plenty of dog-legs, appealing to some players more than others. Although a little different in terms of its look and feel with far more sand on the course, Congaree which hosted the Palmetto Championship and CJ Cup, is also worth consideration given its South Carolina location.

Ben Griffin, C. There is some crossover in the categories above with Congaree and Sedgefield sharing more than one characteristic, however that may be a positive rather than a negative if you fancy one of those players. In all honesty I was expecting him to be favourite here this week, so finding him a good spots down the list depending which bookie you use is refreshing and exciting in equal measure.

With 4 PGA Tour wins to his name having twice won on at TPC Southwind in decent company as well as at Colonial and Pebble Beach, the fact that the 31 year-old is teeing it up here rather than across the State line at Quail Hollow this week tells us everything you need to know about how the past couple of years have gone since suffering a back injury in the middle of , which kept him out for a full 19 months.

Photo: steve palmer golf betting A brilliant 'unputdownable' read and a must for any punter. Steve Palmer's 'warts and all' diary tells a familiar tale to all of us who 'love a punt' - the wonderful highs and disastrous lows are here in all their glory.

Palmer's anti hero approach to life is refreshingly honest and utterly hilarious. I have opened a Twitter account just so I can keep up to date with his antics!!. Great read - thoroughly recommended. Get a girlfriend Steve - it might be the only thing that can save you!!. Great read Bought this for my husband so I am reviewing it on his behalf.

My hubby is a "sporting" man and has read the author's blogs, and it appears that this book is a fleshed out version of those blogs. There are some interesting parts, but much of it it is a diary of the "punts" that the author makes on various sports. A book to dip in and out of. Not what I thought it would be. What a man. Got me through many a dark Sunday when I was a bookie manager and it's been great to look back.

Still praying for that facespitter. I was tempted to buy this book having heard Palmer on the radio and read the reviews. Being an inveterate gambler myself horses and football I thought the book would contain some Jeffrey Bernard-type insights into the life of a gambler both having written for the Racing Post or at least some nuggets of advice to ailing punters - alas not.

True some of Palmer's anecdotes are very funny being stuck in Barcelona following the Icelandic volcano but on the whole the book contains nothing more than a list of ever changing bets which Palmer places in a totally haphazard and scatter gun way he must be a bookmakers dream punter!

You won't learn anything from this book about punting apart from how not to do it. See more reviews. Your recently viewed items and featured recommendations. Back to top. Get to Know Us. Make Money with Us.
