You might be able to get more bang for the buck and use a ball you might not otherwise want to pay for. As for the type, I have heard good things about the mid-tier Bridgestone line E-6, E-7, etc. You might be able to knock the price down a little by getting the used balls in bulk. I played wound Titleist balls for years and years until they got too expensive - about the time two and three piece balls got real popular.

So I started searching for a different ball that felt and played like those wound Titleist's. I played lots of different balls, expensive and less so. Although they didn't have quite the feel, they were pretty close. They also were every bit as long and straight and I got about the same spin as the Titleist's. Since I found these here, I'm a happy camper Beginners to experienced players should look into these balls.

They are a great value and a bargain at the same time. Ball is just ok. These balls are solid for just getting out on the course and playing. I don't like how they come off the club a lot of times. I feel they just don't have the sound, distance and control that some of the other balls from Callaway or Bridgestone have my personal favorites.

If you are looking for just a solid, very well priced ball than go with Intech. After finding one this spring and liking it I bought a big box off Amazon Some of my longest drives ever have been with this ball. And if I'm hitting them good they go straight.

What I really like though is that the ball don't get all shaggy when you get a good shot with a short iron. Must be my "illegal" grooves because I can hold the greens with this ball as well as any. If you need TaylorMade, Titleist, Callaway, etc.

The extra cost was due to each extra step in a mold to add the extra layer. Basically other than the normal rules like diameter and weight no ball that is hit by a mechanical machine with a 9 degree titanium driver at mph swig speed can travel with roll more than yards. And most informal scrambles or golf outing that that have a prize like car for a hole in one, the insurance company that covers the cost of the car usually in the fine print requires your club and ball must be USGA approved to get the prize for your hole in one. Bottom line don't pay attention to brands or price, play the ball that works best for you, not a pro on the tournament.

Ultra unscientific ball comparison below Bought these balls a couple of weeks ago and was very pleased with their performance on the course. I also did a very unscientific test in the garage. I compared the sound and the bounce height. Not surprisingly the Top Flite had a relatively bright, sharp, high sound and a consistently smaller bounce. Of the group, the ball that the Intech was most similar to was the Titleist Pro V1x.

The height was identical and the sound was indistinguishable with my back turned. As I said, hardly scientific but from what I've noticed the sound seems to be a decent indicator of how the ball feels when you hit it. And while the bounce test doesn't take dimpling into effect, I imagine is at least a partially determining factor as to the distance the ball will go. So there you have it.

I purchased these balls based on the reviews here. I was very disappointed. These are close to the worst balls that I have ever played. I would rather play with Rockflights Top Flight or Pinnacles than these balls. They are extremely hard and feel like a rock coming off of the club face. In my opinion these are suitable for range use, shag bags, poor golfers who could care less what balls they play, and children learning to golf.

This review is not coming from a ball snob who only plays Titleist. In fact my favorite cheap ball is a MC Lady I am a man , which are often available for less than these balls. I bought these because I needed balls, didn't have time to run to the store, and fast Prime shipping.
